​​​Z-Fit!  Our low impact, signature Z-fit! chair exercise routine is a fabulous Zumba-inspired class specifically designed for seniors, and combines exercise and music therapy. Our objective is not only to provide physical benefits, but to provide mental, and emotional benefits too. We personally choose the uplifting and inspiring music that accompanies our own choreography and have selected a wonderful mix of oldies and newer songs. Participants are encouraged to sing along and may stand if they wish. Our instructors are hand-picked and trained by us and have great energy and a passion for what they do.​ This class is suitable for seniors of any age and capability, including active independent seniors, seniors who are recovering from injury, seniors that are in a wheelchair, or have chronic illnesses, and seniors that have memory care requirements. We also accommodate hearing and seeing-impaired seniors, and seniors with other disabilities. 

​​Aqua Exercise Our aqua classes set to music are a perfect work-out, keeping you cool, and providing some buoyancy while providing resistance in all directions to work those muscles. Anyone can do this fun exercise which causes less stress on your joints and muscles and supports your weight. Aqua exercise is ideal for all, including seniors, those requiring rehabilitation after injury, and those that are overweight. Classes are usually 45 mins. or 60 mins.

Exercise Classes

Therapeutic Massage Zilarations! offers rehabilitative  and restorative massage therapy for all, including seniors with chronic diseases and memory care needs. The massage can be done when lying down on our portable massage tables, or in our massage chairs.

​Our therapy is a form of massage designed to meet the needs of seniors, and involves the use of the hands to manipulate soft tissues of the body to improve blood circulation, relieve pain and increase range of motion.

The massage therapy can also result in an improvement in posture, body awareness, skin color and muscle tone, and provides a social outlet and caring touch for lonely or isolated seniors which can even relieve anxiety and depression.

We can also accommodate those recovering from surgery, or who have accumulated a lifetime of injuries.  

Our massages will remove stress and facilitate restful sleep. Sessions are usually 45 mins. or 60 mins.

​​Yoga Both our seated (chair) Yoga and regular Yoga classes practice breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, which are widely practiced for health and relaxation. Chair Yoga is a gentle Yoga class from the comfort of a chair, which provides a little more support and helps us stay balanced. Benefits include reducing stiffness in our joints and muscles and so increasing flexibility, mobility, & balance, improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, reduction of stress, better sleep, and a sense of well-being. Classes are usually 30 mins.

​​Tai Chi  Our low-impact seated (chair) Tai Chi and standing Tai Chi classes are based on an ancient Chinese martial art historically practiced for self-defense and health benefits. The classes focus on gentle physical exercise and stretching with controlled breathing and are ideal for seniors. The health benefits are well-documented and include reducing stress, decreasing blood pressure, and increasing flexibility and strength. Classes are usually 30 mins.

Strength & Balance  A varied exercise class that addresses all major muscle groups. Strength exercises use body-weight resistance, light weights (or water bottles), and/ or resistance bands​ to maintain muscle and bone mass. Balance exercises can be free-standing or residents can use a chair to provide security from over-balancing. The class can be enjoyed seated or standing.
